Kenneth “Fatman” Gordon, Jamaican-born and based in Tottenham, was a legendary UK reggae sound system operator running Fatman HiFi since 1967! DJ Flip has been running things since 2000. Father Fatman left England in 2005 to reside in Jamaica, knowing things would continue smoothly!

Father Fatman passed away on 15 December 2024, but the sound system has continued under his son’s stewardship, making appearances at events, festivals, and revival events.

At its peak, Fatman HiFi boasted heavy-duty gear — “thirty 18‑inch speakers, transistorised amplification, single auto‑changer deck,” and collaborated closely with royalty like Prince Jammy, King Tubby, and Bunny Lee .

Though the original founder is gone, Fatman HiFi remains active!
